Still Paddling Scholarship continues with support of Join Adventures & Swift Water Safety Institute (USA):

Thanks to the ongoing support of Join Adventures founder Laura Oakley, we have just completed a fantastic week of fully sponsored swift water rescue training compliments of the Swift Water Safety Institute (SSI) USA.

All of our new Still Paddling trainee/interns where trained over two separate courses provided by Laura Oakley herself – a qualified SSI instructor. The team worked hard, pushing through theory sessions, challenging swimming drills, throw bagging, shallow water crossings, spinal rolls and working out a variety of mechanical advantage systems and rescue techniques.

A great BIG thank you goes out to Laura and the Swift Water Safety Institute (USA) for your incredible contribution to our whitewater adventure industry. This training is a huge step up for these junior guides towards their future success as river professionals.
